New Tokyo Ghoul Compilation Movie To Hit Theaters In US On July 21

Crunchyroll announced that it will be releasing a new Tokyo Ghoul compilation movie, titled Sink Your Teeth: A Tokyo Ghoul Celebration, in the United States for a day on July 21, 2025. The streaming giant is partnering with Sony Pictures Entertainment for the release.

The movie will consist of episodes 1, 5, 8, 10, 11, and 12 from season one and will be available in English dubbed for the audiences to see. Fans can book tickets for the Tokyo Ghoul

The movie is described as follows:

6 select episodes from Season 1. Ken Kaneki is a loner. In a world where ghouls—human-like creatures who survive on human flesh—and people are at war, his biggest concern is which novel to pick up next. But when a date with the mysterious Rize turns deadly, a lifesaving operation horrifyingly transforms him into a human-ghoul hybrid. Can he find his place in a society where it’s hunt or be hunted?

Fans have been clamoring for a Tokyo Ghoul, hoping for a version with better pacing and a sincere adaptation. Multiple announcements were teased as part of the anime’s 10th anniversary, giving fans hope. But, in the end, the news of a remake never came.

Tokyo Ghoul is an anime television series produced by Pierrot based on Sui Ishida’s manga series of the same name. The first season aired from July to September 2014. A second season, titled Tokyo Ghoul √A

, aired from January to March 2015. A third and final season, titled Tokyo Ghoul:re, aired from April to December 2018 in two split season cours.

Pierrot also produced two OVAs, each based on Tokyo Ghoul: Jack and a portion of the light novel Tokyo Ghoul: Days, titled Tokyo Ghoul: Pinto.

Tokyo Ghoul manga was serialized in Shueisha’s seinen manga magazine Weekly Young Jump from September 2011 to September 2014, with its chapters collected in 14 tankobon volumes.

A prequel, titled Tokyo Ghoul [Jack], ran online on Jump Live in 2013, with its chapters collected in a single tankōbon volume. A sequel, titled Tokyo Ghoul:re, was serialized in Weekly Young Jump from October 2014 to July 2018, its chapters were collected in 16 tankobon volumes.
