Takopi's Original Sin Anime: New Trailer, Release Date, Episode Count & More Details Revealed

The official website of the anime adaptation of Taizan 5’s Takopi’s Original Sin unveiled a new trailer on May 20, 2025, which revealed and previewed the opening and ending theme songs.

The opening theme song “Happy Lucky Chappy” is performed by ano, while the ending theme song “Glass no Sen” is by Tele.

It was also announced that the anime will premiere on June 28, 2025, on Netflix, Prime Video, ABEMA, and other streaming platforms. The series will run for six episodes.

A visual was also revealed alongside the trailer.

The series will feature Kurumi Mamiya as Takopi and Reina Ueda as Shizuka Kuze. Konomi Kohara will voice Marina and Anna Nagase will voice Azuma.

Shinya Iino is helming the anime and overseeing the series scripts. Keita Nagahara is serving as the character designer. ENISHIYA is producing the anime.

Takopi’s Original Sin

 was published on the Shonen Jump+ platform in 2021. The manga’s chapters were collected into 2 tankobon volumes.

It was ranked third in the Kono Manga ga Sugoi’s 2023 edition and had surpassed 1.4 million copies in circulation.

Manga Plus describes the plot of the series as follows:

Takopi travels from his home of Happy Planet to spread happiness across Earth, but meets the unsmiling Shizuka upon landing. Her friends at school and home life seem to be the source of her somber expression, and the pure-hearted Takopi is determined to change things for the better! But what truths await him when the curtains rise in this shocking drama?!

After writing Takopi’s Original Sin, Taizan 5 went on to serialize The Ichinose Family’s Deadly Sins on Weekly Shonen Jump.
