MP CM to unveil 108-ft statue of Adi Shankaracharya on September 21, installation work underway in full swing
Khandwa (Madhya Pradesh) [India], September 19 (ANI): The construction of a 108-foot-high statue of Adi Shankaracharya is underway in full swing below the Ekatma Dham on Mandhata mountain in Omkareshwar.
Situated on the picturesque banks of the Narmada River, Omkareshwar is approximately 80 km away from the bustling city of Indore.
The awe-inspiring multi-metal sculpture stands on a 54-foot-high pedestal and has a height of 108 feet. The sculpture is all set to be inaugurated by Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan on September 21.
All prominent seers, who are expected to arrive for the inauguration of the statue, will be accorded a traditional welcome, the CM said, adding that in view of the rainy season, the district administration should remain especially sensitive and alert with regard to the venue and make proper traffic arrangements.
