2019 Royal Enfield Classic spied undisguised

  • The new Royal Enfield Classic will feature a LED tail light
  • It also uses a re-designed exhaust
  • The motorcycle will be powered by a BS-VI compliant motor
  • It also gets a dual-channel ABS

Royal Enfield has really spruced up its Research & Development department and is working on a number of new models and updation of its existing product line-up. The motorcycle enthusiasts were preparing themselves for the launch of Trials 350 and 500 and now spy shots of the 2019 Royal Enfield Classic have surfaced online, leaving the enthusiasts delighted. The update on the Classics was long awaited and Royal Enfield is very cautious about the changes it will be making on its highest selling motorcycles.

From the images surfaced online, one can clearly see the new engine fins that hint at the possibility of Royal Enfield equipping the 2019 Classic with a BS-VI complaint motor, keeping in mind the approaching emission norms deadline. The new and compact exhaust also substantiates this claim. It is said that the next-gen Classic will not get a kick-starter. The BS-VI compliant motor will be more refined than the current-gen Classics and there will be fewer vibrations. The images also show that the rear disc is now at the right side of the motorcycle. The 2019 Royal Enfield Classic also gets a new swing-arm and chassis.

The cosmetic changes made on the 2019 Royal Enfield Classic come in the form of a new pillion seat with round edges, new grab rails and a re-designed tail lamp with chrome bezel. The tail lamps are said to be a LED unit which hints at the possibility of the 2019 Classic to feature an all-new LED headlamp as well. A conventional rear suspension has taken place of the gas-charged shock absorbers. The rider seats also seem to have ditched the springs that it carries on the ongoing model of Classic.

Royal Enfield recently equipped its current-gen Classic models with a dual-channel ABS unit and we expect the new 2019 Classic to be introduced in the Indian market by late 2019. The highest selling Royal Enfield model will also get a higher price tag than the ongoing Classic model in light of an advanced engine and new features.
