All-New BMW F 850 GS Adventure Launched at Rs 15.40 Lakhs

BMW Motorrad has launched the all-new BMW F 850 GS Adventure at a starting price of Rs 15.40 Lakhs (Ex. Showroom) in the Indian market. The motorcycle will be retailed as completely built-up units (CBU) and bookings can be made at the BMW Motorrad dealerships from today. BMW F 850 Adventure GS will come with the Style Rallye package that includes Lupine Blue metallic including tapes in Racing red uni/Light white uni/Blackstorm metallic under paintwork), Windshield sport, Golden anodised rim rings and Golden anodised upper front fork tube.

The F 850 GS Adventure flaunts a dynamic design with asymmetric LED headlamps with daytime riding light and LED turn indicators. It boasts of a low double seat, wide enduro footrests, center stand and adjustable shift and foot brake levers as standard. The air-intake is positioned higher while engine protection bars and stainless steel luggage rack complete the feature list. The F 850 GS Adventure gets an all-new instrument cluster which comprises of an analogue tachometer and a multifunctional display, alongside a number of control lamps. An optional equipment 'Connectivity' with a 6.5 inch full-colour TFT display can also be availed for quick and clear information. Phone functions which include making calls and media functions such as listening to the music can be done without installing an app via Bluetooth connection.

The standard Automatic Stability Control (ASC) is one of the standout features of the this Adventure variant of the BMW F 850 GS. It provides riders two riding mode options: ‘Dynamic’ and ‘Enduro’ along with Dynamic Traction Control (DTC) and the banking capable ABS Pro. Also, the German bikemaker has offered two riding modes “Rain” and Road” as standard. Mechanically, the motorcycle is powered by the 853cc two-cylinder in-line engine which develops top power of 95bhp at 8250rpm and peak torque of 92Nm at 6250rpm. The Adventure model is nearly 15 kgs heavier than the standard F 850 GS with total kerb weight of 244 kgs. It also has bigger fuel tank of 23 litres. It will challenge the likes of Honda Africa Twin and Triumph Tiger 800 XCA in India.
