The Jaguar XE was facelifted earlier this year, and India will receive the facelift soon. The launch for the XE Facelift is set for December 4. The facelift includes an update to the looks and a few features update on the inside. There is no change to the driveline.

The styling of the XE has been updated to make it look lower and wider than before. Its new styling elements have been derived from the styling of the F-Type and the E-Pace. The headlamps are narrower, which makes it look more aggressive.

They have the new LED DRLs which are the opposite of Mercedes’ ‘eyebrow’ DRLs. The grille and air intakes on the front are also redesigned, and the rear gets a diffuser. The tail lamps have been changed, becoming slimmer to match the headlamps, and the alloy wheel design has been updated.

The interior of the XE gets far more changes than the outside for 2020. The infotainment system is now the ‘Touch Pro Duo’ system and has a 10.2-inch screen. A second screen displays what the climate control system is up to. The gear selector has been updated to the one from the F-Type and E-Pace, and the multifunction steering wheel has hidden buttons that light up when required, like in the I-Pace.

The Jaguar XE Facelift will be powered by the same engines, the Ingenium series 2-liter, four-cylinder turbocharged units mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission and driving the rear axle. Power outputs will be from 247 bhp to nearly 300 bhp, depending on fuel type and performance on offer.

The Jaguar XE competes with the Mercedes-Benz C-Class, BMW 3 Series, Audi A4, and to some extent with the Volvo S60 and S90 in the Indian marketplace. As such, expect it to retail at a price of roughly Rs 50 lakh onward.
