Kia Seltos Receives Around 6000 Bookings in Just One Day

Kia Seltos bookings opened yesterday only and the South Korean auto manufacturer has received more than 6,000 bookings in a single day. Around 1600 bookings are made through the official website. The first model of Kia can be booked online at Kia’s dealerships in India. Kia is planning to have a network of around 265 touchpoints in over 160 cities by the time Seltos goes on sale. 

The Seltos SUV is available in three BS-VI compliant engines, including 1.5-litre petrol, 1.5-litre diesel and 1.4-litre turbo-petrol motor. All engines come paired with manual and automatic transmission systems (1.5 petrol engine - CVT, 1.5 diesel engine - six-speed torque convertor and 1.4 turbo petrol motor - seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox).

The mid-size SUV, Kia Seltos is more likely to be available within a price range of Rs 11 lakhs - Rs 17 lakhs (both are ex-showroom prices). Expected to come in 8 variants - 1.5-litre petrol will begin with the GTK and goes up to GTX+, the base diesel model will be HTE and top-spec will be HTX+. The 1.4-litre turbo petrol motor will be exclusively available on GT-Line variant, featuring numerous different design elements.

The feature list for standard trims are not yet revealed, however, the top-spec versions will have a head-up display, a 10.25-inch touchscreen, sunroof, 360-degree camera, cooled front seats, Bose audio system and multi-coloured ambient lighting.

According to the Kia dealers, the SUVs will reach the showroom by the end of July. Consumers can take the test drives at the beginning of August 2019. 

The Kia Seltos will compete with the likes of Renault Captur, Hyundai Creta, Mahindra XUV500, MG Hector, Nissan Kicks and Tata Harrier
