Spy shots of Maruti Suzuki India’s upcoming model, Maruti Suzuki XL6 have surfaced on the inter-web, revealing vital styling details of its front. As informed earlier, the Ertiga based model will be revealed officially, sometime next month and will sit at the top of the Ertiga line-up. Set to be retailed through company’s premium Nexa outlets, the Maruti Suzuki XL6 will receive cosmetic changes and interior tweaks.

The Maruti Suzuki XL6 images show a restyled front end with a newly designed twin slat horizontal radiator grille with Suzuki’s logo placed in the centre. The new grille meets seamlessly with the redesigned headlamps that come equipped with integrated LED daytime running lights and turn signals. Also, the spotted model sported Nexa Blue colour akin to other models sold through Nexa dealerships.

Changes are also visible on the lower bumper that has been revamped. It now gets skid plates finished in silver for a sportier look, circular fog lamps encased in rectangular housings. Some of the styling elements such as the black cladding around wheels have been retained. It additionally sports blackened alloy wheels and black pillars. The Nexa sticker on the rear confirms that it will be sold through Maruti’s premium retail chain. Aside from this, the tailgate receives black treatment that goes well with the skid plates. 

 

Maruti Suzuki XL6 Crossover Spotted Testing

 

As for Maruti Suzuki XL6 interior, it will get captain seats in the middle row. Touted to be an upmarket model from Maruti Suzuki India, expect this six-seater to be available in manual and automatic versions. That said, the Maruti Suzuki XL6 specifications could include the regular 1.5-litre K15B smart-hybrid four-cylinder petrol unit with a maximum power of 104.7 PS against 138 Nm torque. Transmission options, as suggested include a standard five-speed unit and an optional four-speed automatic gearbox. One must note, the petrol unit has been updated by the company to adhere to the stringent BS-VI norms, set to implement from April 2020. Aside from the aforementioned changes, the model is expected to receive new features to set it apart from the regular Ertiga. As for the Maruti Suzuki XL6 price, the Mahindra Marazzo rival is likely to start from Rs 12.5 lakh (ex-showroom).
