Toyota has showcased its luxurious Toyota Vellfire MPV at a closed event in India. The MPV is essentially a sporty version of Alphard MPV and with around same luxury features. According to the reports, the Alphard will be introduced through CBU route from Thailand as per the recent rules which allow the auto manufacturer to import around 2500 units while meeting the highest automotive compliance standards.
In essence, the Toyota Alphard is a six-seater car with flexible seating arrangement, touchscreen infotainment system, leather upholstery and climate control along with multiple zones. The second leaked image showcases twin moon roof, mood lighting, individual tables for rows and seven airbags.

Under the hood, the car has a 2.5-litre four-cylinder hybrid petrol engine which produces a power of 178 hp and a max torque of 235 Nm. The engine is mated to an e-CVT and AWD.

The luxury MPV, Toyota Vellfire price is more likely to be over 75 lakhs. The car will rival with the likes of Mercedes-Benz V-Class having a similar price. However, the latter has Mercedes branding and it is a high spec variant along with modern features. The MPV’s target market will be luxury hotels, celebrities, politicians and fleet operators.
