What’s Great

Affordability
These are some of the more affordable ASUS series and should take care of the normal consumer’s day to day needs pretty well. It isn’t something meant for someone who is into hardcore gaming or graphic designing.

Good Configuration
The specifications available whichinclude8th Generation Intel CoreTM U-series processors and the latest NVIDIA MX230 discrete graphics along with other features at this price point is pretty good.

 What’s Not Great

Display And Design
The display could have been better. It leaves an aftertaste of wanting something more. The colours do warm up in some time but there could be more consistency. Similarly, the ASUS signature minimalistic design looks good but in this laptop with the plastic finish, it leaves a little more to be desired.

The Last Word
In a crowded marketplace, ASUS Vivobook X509 does stand out in terms of affordability and features. There isn’t any major reason to complain.  A little tweaking on the display and design front could have added to make this a formidable bet. However, for the average user looking for a good laptop for his daily computing needs, Vivobook X509 is a great piece.
