Salil Kapoor Quits As COO Of Voltas

Salil Kapoor, Chief Operating Officer, UPBG (Unitary Products Business Group), a business division of Voltas Limited - A TATA Enterprise which deals in air-conditioners, commercial refrigeration, and water coolers and dispensers has stepped down from his current role today, 23rd July 2018.

The erstwhile COO had joined the company back in April 2018 last year and is an industry veteran with nearly 26 years of experience.

He has previously worked with different home appliance makers such as LG, Samsung, and Blue Star.

In his previous assignment, Salil Kapoor was associated with Hooq as Managing Director and COO of Dish TV.

His earlier assignments also include COO of India's largest Satellite Paytv company, CMO and Business head of leading consumer electronics /appliances companies. He is also an independent director on Board of a solar startup, Simpa Networks (An Engie Company).  

Salil holds an engineering degree from University of Bangalore, and MBA from Faculty of Management Studies - University of Delhi.
