UPSC CSE Application Form 2021: Prelims notification released for IAS, IPS and IFS; official schedule, paper pattern deets inside
UPSC CSE prelims 2021: The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has released the official notification for the Civil Services preliminary examination (CSE) 2021 on its official website.
Candidates who are waiting for the UPSC CSE Online Application Form 2021 can submit their application form through the official website—upsc.gov.in or upsconline.nic.in.
The online registration window has been opened from March 4 while the last date for the online application process is March 24.
This year, UPSC released approximately 712 vacancies. The UPSC CSE exam will be held on June 27.
UPSC CSE Prelims 2021: Eligibility Criteria
To apply for the post of IAS, IFS and IPS, an aspirant should be an Indian national. For others, they can be a citizen of India, Bhutan, Nepal, Tibetan refugee.
Educational Qualification Required:
Candidates must hold a degree from a recognized university. Know more official details about UPSC CSE, check the official notification released at upsc.gov.in.
Age Limit Required:
To participate in the UPSC recruitment drive, a candidate should have attained the age of 21 years and the maximum age limit required is 32 years. Reserved category aspirants will get the age relaxation as per government norms.
UPSC CSE Paper Pattern 2021:
The preliminary examination consists of paper 1 and paper 2.
For paper-I, there will objective type, multiple-choice questions. The total paper will be of 400 marks. While general studies paper-II, a candidate has to qualify by obtaining at least 33 percent marks.
Negative Marking:
Candidates should mark the answer carefully because one-third of the marks will be deducted for every wrong attempt.
