Empowering talented youth: Pradhan Mantri Innovative Learning Programme – DHRUV

The Pradhan Mantri Innovative Learning Programme – DHRUV, initiated by the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India, launched on 10 October, 2019 aims to identify and nurture exceptionally talented children across the nation. Named after the pole star ‘Dhruv Tara,’ the program is designed to provide a platform for gifted students to enhance their skills and knowledge.

Program Evolution and Developments:

Since its inception, the DHRUV programme has evolved to encompass two major areas: Science and Performing Arts. Launched from the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO), the initiative selects approximately 60 outstanding students annually from classes 9 to 12, representing both government and private schools across the country. The program commenced its first batch in October 2019, providing a 14-day intensive learning experience for participants.
