Mumbai ATS arrests man for threatening Team India

The Mumbai police’s Anti-terrorism Squad, commonly known as ATS arrested the man from Assam for threatening to kill the players of the Indian team.

An official stated that a 19-year-old man, named Braja Mohan Das, a resident of Shantipur, Morigaon district was arrested by the ATS squad with the helping hand of the Assamese Police on Thursday. It was reported that Das had sent an e-mail to the BCCI on 16 August, where he had threatened to kill the team players. With on times to waste, the police initiated the investigation. A case was registered under section 506 of IPC and the IP address of the origin of the e-mail was traced and the arrest was made.

It has been reported that the accused had sent similar mail to Cricket boards of other countries too. The matter is still under investigation.
