But many times it happens that we keep flour in the fridge in such a way that it turns black and gets spoiled.

Store the flour in an air-tight container
Often the flour is kept in an open utensil, but whenever you store the flour in the fridge, keep the flour in an air-tight utensil. You can do one more thing. You can also store the flour in aluminium foil or an airtight container. Due to this, the dough will not become tight and the rotis will also remain soft.

Knead the dough with lukewarm water
Whenever you knead the dough, use lukewarm water only, this will kill the bacteria present in the dough. Also, it will remain soft for a long time. You can also keep it in the fridge. So that there will be no risk of fungus. If you knead the flour with lukewarm water, not only will the bacteria present in it die, but the dough will remain soft. Now if you keep it in the fridge, the risk of fungus will reduce considerably.

Mix a pinch of salt in the flour
Whenever you make bread, add a pinch of salt to it so that it works as a natural preservative. Salt is used in many packaged food. If you are in a hurry in the morning, knead the dough and keep it in the fridge and add some salt to it. This will keep your roti soft throughout the day. This will not spoil your flour for a long time.

Apply oil on the dough
One of the best hacks is that after kneading the dough, add some cooking oil or ghee to it. Due to this the flour will not dry and will not turn black. If you make rotis the next day also, it will remain soft.
