Lauki Chana Dal Recipe: If you want to make some special and tasty dal for lunch or dinner, then you can make Punjabi Style Lauki Chana Dal. It is very easy to make this delicious and nutritious dal.

Ingredients
    -1 bottle gourd (finely chopped)
    -1 cup chana dal (soaked)
    -1-1 tsp cumin and coriander powder
    -2 tsp ginger-garlic paste
    -1 bay leaf, 1 tomato (chopped)

    -1/4 tsp turmeric powder
    -half tsp red chili powder
    -salt to taste
    -2 tbsp Green Coriander (chopped)

For the sprinkle:
    -1-1 tsp oil and cumin
   - 2 whole red chilies

Method
   - In a pressure cooker, add bottle gourd, soaked chana dal, 1/4 cup water, salt, and turmeric powder, and cook for 2 whistles.
    -Turn off the flame.
    -Open the cooker and mix all the remaining ingredients and cook till 1 whistle comes.

    -Take it off the flame.
    -Heat oil in a pan, and add cumin seeds, red chili powder, and whole red chilies.
    -Add lentils on top and mix well.
    -Serve garnished with green coriander.
