Placement 2022-23: 20% more job offers this placement season at IIT Delhi

Indian Institute of Technology(IIT) Delhi students have received 20% more job offers this placement season so far compared to same time last year, according to the institute.

Around 650 full-time job offers and around 550 unique job selections were bagged by students by the end of Day 1 spanning December 1 and 2, 2022.

This includes over 250 pre-placement offer (PPOs). Many students have also bagged multiple placement offers.

Around 400 national and international organisations offering over 800 job profiles across multiple sectors have already registered for hiring students as of now.

Top recruiters on the campus on Day 1 in terms of the number of students offered include American Express, Bajaj Auto, Boston Consulting Group, Enphase Solar Energy, Intel, Praxis Global Alliance, and Strategy&, according to a release issued by the IIT.

Over 50 students have bagged domestic offers with CTC of more than Rs 1 crore per annum. Around 20 students have received international job offers from geographies spanning Hong Kong, Netherlands, Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan, United Kingdom, and United States. Some students have accepted domestic offers over international offers.

“At IIT Delhi, we strive to create a conducive environment for both recruiters and students. This year we look forward to welcoming recruiters from varied domains through the placement season,” Dr Anishya Obhrai Madan, head, Office of Career Services, IIT Delhi said.

This year, the hiring processes are being conducted in both physical and virtual modes depending on the recruiter’s convenience. Unlike many other campuses, the entire interview process is conducted in a single slot each day. This translates to NO graveyard shifts or multiple shifts within a day, according to the release.

The placement period spans from December to May for the full-time hiring of undergraduate and postgraduate students at IIT Delhi.
