Rural development ministry has invited applications for the post of director general of the National Institute of Rural Development and Panchayati Raj (NIRD&PR) to be done directly or through deputation.
Term of office will be for five years from the date of assuming charge or until the age of 60 years, whichever is earlier.
For a direct recruitment, the applicant should be a Ph.D in social science with preferably specialisation in any discipline of rural development or developmental administration with 20 years of experience.
The post, of the level of additional secretary, carries emoluments, perks and privileges as admissible to secretary to the government of India.
NIRD&PR is an autonomous organisation under the department of rural development in the ministry of rural development. It is based in Hyderabad.
