Apple iOS 16.3 update to roll out next week. Here are details

Apple is all set to launch its updated software iOS 16.3 by next week. This update will include a major upgrade in security for all the apple users. End-to-end encryption will be included for many other iCloud data categories, including Photos, Voice Memos, Notes, device backups, messages backups, and more. The new update will also include support for new second-gen HomePod, Apple ID security keys, and unity wallpaper.



The company’s press release said that the Apple watch band and Apple software update will be out soon. Earlier, iCloud advanced data protection was available only for United States Apple users. The new iOS 16.3 update will make iCloud advanced data protection available for users across the globe. The new Apple ID and iCloud security keys will give an extra layer of protection to users' data.

A display bug on iPhone 14 Pro Max will be acknowledged in the new update. According to a media report, Apple could launch other new updates which include iPadOS, watchOS 9.3, macOS 13.2 and tvOS 16.3.

The company said in the press release that the Unity 2023 watch face will require Apple Watch Series 4 or later in watch OS 9.3, and iPhone 8 or later and iPhone SE or later in iOS 16.3. The new Unity iPhone wallpaper will require iPhone 8 or later in iOS 16.3.

Another update will be the Emergency SOS service that allows users to make an emergency call with just a few seconds button press on iPhone. The new update will send the call only after the user releases the button. The ‘call with hold’ service is now called ‘Call with Hold and Release.’

iOS 16.2 was released last year on July 11. It included a lot of improvements and included many bug fixes.
