Ashneer Grover criticises startup founders for using the phrase "It's still Day 1"

In a 2016 letter to shareholders, Amazon founder Jeff Bezos famously said, "it's Day One for a couple of decades," emphasising his business perspective and the company's work environment. BharatPe co-founder Ashneer Grover believes that using the phrase "Day One" by startup founders is the "lamest thing."

“The phrase- It's still Day 1 used by startup founders is, in my opinion, the most insulting thing. After years in business, no potential talent or existing team will be excited to read it,” Grover tweeted.

Regarding Grover's post, numerous users concurred with what he said."Investment in my startup is bootstrapping my own money," one user wrote, "we passed seven months since inception and no single rupee income came yet."because no two businesses are alike. Our delivery time for a single product is four to five weeks."

Another user added, asking if Grover was referring to the most recent tweet from Zomato's CEO and founder Deepinder Goyal, "Met Sonu, Vipin (and a few others) who have been delivering with us for a number of years."
