3.5 kg gold, 85 kg silver, and a rifle: Maneka Gandhi declares assets worth Rs 97.17 crore

Maneka Sanjay Gandhi, an eight-time MP, has seen a significant increase in her assets over the last five years, according to the affidavit filed by her while filing nomination for the Sultanpur Lok Sabha seat on a BJP ticket. Her total assets now stand at Rs 97.17 crore, showing a growth of 43% from Rs 55.69 crore in 2019.

  • Movable and Immovable Assets: Out of the total assets, Rs 45.97 crore are movable assets and Rs 51.20 crore are immovable.
  • Bank and Other Earnings: Her bank balance was Rs 17.83 crore, down from Rs 18.47 crore in 2019. However, her earnings from debentures, shares, and bonds increased significantly to Rs 24.30 crore from Rs 5.55 crore in 2019. Her post office savings also showed growth, with earnings of Rs 81.01 lakh compared to Rs 43.32 lakh in 2019.
  • Gold, Silver, and Other Assets:
She owns 3.415 kg of gold and 85 kg of silver worth Rs 2.82 crore, along with a rifle worth Rs 40,000.
Nomination Filing
Maneka Gandhi filed her nomination papers from the Sultanpur Lok Sabha seat, accompanied by Nishad Party President and Minister Dr. Sanjay Nishad and Apna Dal leader and cabinet minister Ashish Patel. She expressed her commitment to do more work in the next five years, particularly in providing more houses under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana.
