Munawar Faruqui hospitalised? 'BB17' winner shares pic of himself with IV drip attached on Instagram

‘Big Boss 17’ winner Munawar Faruqui is reportedly hospitalised. On Friday, the stand-up comedian took to his Instagram Stories and shared a picture of his arm which is attached to an IV drip, and lamented that he has been targeted by an evil eye. “Lag gaya nazar,” read the caption. On Saturday, Faruqui asked his fans to pray for him.


While details of his health condition are not yet known, fans reacted promptly. “Get well soon Munawar” trended on X.

“Wishing you a speedy recovery and a quick return to good health. Take care!” one of the fans wrote. “Bhai Hope u feel better soon and get back to your usual self with lots of love and positive energy!” commented another.

Earlier this month, the comedian hit headlines for getting attacked with eggs. A video that showed Faruqui losing his cool after getting hit with eggs went viral on social media. In the video, a security guard is shown to be holding him back as he looks ready to throw hands at the culprits.

According to a Times Of India report, the comedian had promised to come to the eatery, to inaugurate an Iftar party. However, he hadn't honoured the deal and had went to another restaurant, causing the owner to lose his temper. The eatery is located at Mumbai’s Mohammed Ali Road. After the incident, Faruqui filed an FIR against the owner and his staff.

On the work front, the 'Lock Upp' winner is all set to make his acting debut. The comedian-social media influencer will start his innings as an actor with the web series ‘First Copy’. On Wednesday, Faruqui took to Instagram and unveiled the teaser of the upcoming series.
