Russia annexes Ukraine's four regions as UN chief, West condemn move

Russian President Vladimir Putin has annexed four regions of Ukraine illegally and vows to use all means to protect them, media reports said. He said millions of people want this as he addressed dignitaries at Kremlin. Moscow had proxies that showed 99% of people favoured joining Russia, and this ceremony just took place days after, media reports said.

The West and Ukraine have called these votes fake and illegitimate, which have been taken at gunpoint. Volodymyr Zelensky, President of Ukraine, signed an application for Ukraine for 'accelerated accession to NATO'.

He mentioned how Ukraine is going to be a part of NATO and wants to make Ukraine's membership legitimate as per law. Russian President Vladimir Putin declared Russia has four new regions now. He said the results of the referendums are well-known. He added that people have chosen and held a concert at Red Square in Moscow, which was streamed live. Putin joined the people on the stage, who were singing and enjoying. At the event, the officials asked men to fight against Ukraine.
