The buses will clock 480 trips a day, ferrying airport passengers. HYDERABAD: To provide better transport facilities to airport passengers, Telangana State Transport Corporation (TSRTC) has introduced 17 new air-conditioned buses and 40 Volvo electric buses which will now directly halt at the arrival ramp of Rajiv Gandhi International Airport at Shamshabad.

Along with the 40 electric buses, which were introduced recently, Pushpak service buses, which pick up and drop airport passengers, have been replaced with new ones. The old Pushpak buses would now ply in the city limits, a TSRTC official said.

“This is the first time the buses are being allowed to wait at the arrival point to pick up passengers. The buses will be available round the clock, every five minutes. The passengers don’t have to wait to hire Ola or Uber services as all the 57 buses have been allowed to pick up passengers at the arrival point,” Raghunatharao, TSRTC Regional Manager, Secunderabad said.

The buses will clock 480 trips a day, ferrying airport passengers. TSRTC officials also stated if the passengers avail a bus pass for Rs 2,645, they could avail services of AC and electric buses from different parts of the city as well as from the airport throughout the month.
