Actress Samyuktha reveals she found it tough to act in Telugu due to heavy makeup: 'I had a bindas, free life in Malayalam'

Mollywood actress Samyuktha made her debut in Telugu with ‘ Bheemla Nayak ’ in 2022. The actress recently revealed that she found it hard to adapt to the industry not because of the language but because of makeup .

In an interview with Galatta Plus, Samyuktha said that this might ‘sound silly,’ but she really found it tough.

She clarified that when she does movies in Malayalam, the makeup is very close to being natural. She had a free life there. But in Telugu acting, taking care of one's own self, being conscious about how we look on screen, and grooming come as a package, which was completely opposite to her comfort.

Samyuktha added that she only allowed her costume crew member to interrupt her flow while mugging up her lines and doing shots. Because her saree draper would come running as the pleats don’t look perfect enough. It wasn’t easy even if it sounds silly. She always felt there was something on her face and skin. The actress mentioned going makeup-free with free hair and all in Malayalam.

In Malayalam, she's set to appear in a film called ‘Ram’ alongside Mohanlal, directed by Jeethu Joseph. In Telugu, she's gearing up to shoot for a period action film called ‘ Swayambhu ’ by Bharat Krishnamachari, where she'll share the screen with Nikhil Siddhartha and Nabha Natesh . Additionally, she's also starring in a comedy-drama helmed by Ram Abbaraju, alongside Sharwanand.
