Bigg Boss 13's Rashami Desai hits back at trolls fat-shaming her appearance at friend Arti Singh's wedding; says "I don't need validation from anyone"

Rashami Desai gained prominence through her participation in the controversial reality show Bigg Boss 13 , where she earned acclaim for her strategic gameplay. Prior to that, she had established herself in the television industry through various soap operas, propelling her career to new heights. In a recent interview, Rashami Desai addressed the trolls criticizing her appearance, boldly stating that she doesn't need validation from others.


During an interview with Hindustan Times, Rashami Desai confronted the online trolls targeting her appearance, particularly during Arti Singh 's pre-wedding celebrations. Refusing to be affected by external opinions, the former Bigg Boss contestant emphasized her belief on her inner conviction, stating, "You can either do what you want or listen to others. I choose the former. I don’t need validation from anyone." According to her , "trolling is a part and parcel of a public figure's life, which is uncertain "




Desai also addressed the unrealistic beauty standards in the entertainment industry, stating that maintaining such expectations can be challenging, especially when dealing with health issues. Adding to this, she expressed that she has been unwell for past few months. She claimed that social media does not affect her mentally.

Responding to the trolling she faced at Arti Singh's wedding , Rashami Desai emphasized that her focus was solely on celebrating her friend's marriage. She highlighted the unpredictable nature of online criticism that how people can be trolled for their clothes one day then for their character another day, stressing the importance of moving forward despite encountering negativity.

Rashami Desai rose to fame with her portrayal of the complex character Tapasya Thakur in the daily soap Uttaran. She later gained further recognition for her role opposite fellow Bigg Boss 13 contestant, the late Sidharth Shukla, in Dil Se Dil Tak.
