Anushka Shetty is a prominent figure in the South Indian film industry , capturing fans with her remarkable film choices, but did you know that she underwent a significant weight loss journey for her role, Devsena , alongside the Rabel Star Prabhas in ' Baahubali 2 '.

The iconic period drama film, directed by SS Rajamouli became one of the biggest films in the world and set new standards for the South Indian industry.

Before joining the sets of Baahubali 2, Anushka revealed her weight loss plans after gaining approximately 20 kgs for her role in the film 'Size Zero'. In an interview, reported by Pinkvilla she disclosed her commitment to shedding 7-8 kgs to prepare for her character in the Baahubali sequel and keeping herself dedicated to delivering an impactful performance as the sequel had more significance for her character.

Anushka is also known for not using prosthetic outfits or technology to change her appearance for Zero Size. She preferred a natural approach, aiming to precisely represent the character's issues with body image worries while avoiding the use of cosmetics and other artificial improvements.

Anushka's transformative journey for Baahubali 2 highlights the lengths actors go to for their work and the depth of their commitment to delivering compelling performances. She is currently working on her upcoming project which will be marking her debut in the Malayalam films. She is immersed in working on the film named 'Kathanar – The Wild Sorcerer'.'
