Did you know that Richa Chadha began the shooting of 'Heeramandi' only 10-15 days before her wedding?

Richa Chadha and Ali Fazal 's journey from colleagues to life partners has been a heartwarming tale embraced by many. The couple, who initially crossed paths on the sets of 'Fukrey', delighted fans by announcing their impending parenthood earlier this year. As Richa enters her third trimester, their first baby will arrive in July.

Their love story flourished over time, culminating in a union under the Special Marriage Act in 2020 and a celebratory gathering with close friends in 2022. Now these are a couple of things that a lot of people know about Richa, however, did you know that the actress started shooting her recent project, only 10-15 days before her wedding ?

In an exclusive interview with News18 Showsha, Richa Chadha said, “I began shooting for Heeramandi literally 10-15 days before my wedding. And at that time, there was no thought of motherhood in the immediate future on my mind.”

No wonder that Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s debut series - 'Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar', holds special significance for Richa as it coincided with her wedding festivities.

Further, in the same interview, she shared insights into her impending journey into motherhood. She candidly expressed uncertainty about her approach to parenting, likening it to crafting a novel without a predetermined storyline. Richa stressed the importance of allowing instincts to guide her, citing the popular adage that "it's the child that gives birth to the mother."

Richa's reflections reflect a blend of pragmatism and reverence for the natural order. Drawing inspiration from her mother's example, who adeptly balanced career and motherhood, Richa emphasized the importance of instilling principles and empowerment in her child.

Acknowledging the innate instincts observed in mammalian parenting, Richa humorously contrasted it with her own aspirations, ruling out teaching hunting skills. Instead, she underscored the significance of creating a nurturing environment conducive to the child's growth and development.
