Director Dijo Jose Antony on 'Jana Gana Mana 2', says 'People expect a lot from the sequel'

Director Dijo Jose Antony has shed light on the eagerly anticipated sequel to the 2022 blockbuster ‘Jana Gana Mana,’ starring Prithviraj , hinting at the intense pressure and meticulous planning involved in crafting a follow-up to the pan-India hit.

In a recent promotional interview of ‘Malayalee From India’, Dijo Jose Antony revealed that while the team is currently immersed in scripting ‘ Jana Gana Mana 2 ,’ the overwhelming success of its predecessor has only heightened the stakes for the sequel.

“The success of 'Jana Gana Mana' has made us feel a big responsibility. With the film being loved all over India, people expect a lot from the sequel, so we have to plan carefully." Dijo Jose Antony expressed.

Acknowledging the immense interest surrounding the sequel, he highlighted the contrast between the anticipation for ‘Jana Gana Mana 2’ and his upcoming comedy venture, ‘Malayalee From India.’ Despite the differing genres, the director emphasized the excitement among audiences.
