Enhypen is a South Korean boy band that emerged from Belift Lab, originally a collaboration between CJ ENM and Hybe Corporation, formed through the 2020 survival competition show I-Land. Comprising seven members—Heeseung, Jay, Jake, Sunghoon, Sunoo, Jungwon, and Ni-ki—the group debuted on November 30, 2020, with their EP "Border: Day One."

The name Enhypen was unveiled during the final episode of I-Land, symbolizing "Connection, Discovery, & Growth." Like a hyphen linking words to form new meanings, Enhypen embodies the idea of coming together to connect, discover, and grow as a cohesive unit.

Leading up to their debut, Enhypen released trailers such as "Choose-Chosen" and "Dusk-Dawn," as well as concept mood boards, building anticipation. Their EP "Border: Day One," along with the single "Given-Taken," dropped on November 30, accompanied by a live showcase. The album proved immensely successful, amassing over 150,000 pre-orders within two days and 300,000 by November 21. Upon release, "Border: Day One" quickly rose to number two on the South Korean Gaon Album Chart, selling 318,528 copies domestically in its first day—an impressive feat for a K-pop group debuting in 2020. Within two weeks, Enhypen received the Next Leader Award at the 2020 Fact Music Awards, solidifying their status as a rising stars in the industry.
