Exclusive - From Sachin Shroff to Sunayana Fozdar; Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah actors recall their fondest Holi memories

The Holi celebrations in Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah 's Gokuldham society have always been a highlight for viewers. As we've seen the actors enjoying Holi on-screen for years, it's intriguing to hear their fondest memories from the festival. Here, we have some Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah stars recalling their favorite Holi memories , adding a personal touch to the festive spirit on the show.

Sachin Shroff : My most favourite memories were from my school days. We as kids used to play with balloons and especially go down just a day before the holi in the night and take Holika Dahan's phera ( Taking circles to fire). We used to get sweets and chocolates and all that during that time. During Holi we used to get up at five in the morning and make water balloons and wait till nine o'clock clock as everybody used to get down at nine o'clock and we used to play holi together till 1-1.30pm and that used to be one of the best memories of my life.

Asit Kumarr Modi : I have really bad but at the same time a funny memory of Holi. During one of the Holi festivals, someone had put Pakka colour on me and I did a lot of things to remove it but nothing really worked. For almost a week I was house arrest and if I used to go out people used to ask me that it looks like your holi isn't over yet. Sometimes I used to feel angry too. I had to postpone and cancel my meeting because of it. It was frustrating but now I laugh over it. Sometimes we forget our limits in having fun and I feel we should be careful about it and not to put such colours on anyone which puts others in trouble. Some people do get skin allergies so please play with good organic colours and enjoy the spirit of the festival with love and care.

Sunayana Fozdar : My most favourite holi memory has to be in school when we used to go out and play holi with water balloons and colours and in fact all my friends used to come around 6 - 7am in the morning and gather near my building and call out my name. They used to say just come down and there was no escape. Now, we can say no I don't want to play but that time there was no escape as my entire gang used to come down and drag me out of my bed. We used to go to different friends' houses and used to play Holi. It used to be so much fun, like, those were the days where this kind of thing was the only source of entertainment like Holi, school picnics and all. Childhood memories always remind me of holi. In fact at that point of time even if you are not talking to your friends by forgetting everything we used to patch up during holi and that was in a way to patch up. Sach main woh kehte hai na ke Holi main dil milte hai those kinds of things used to happen. Even if I am not talking to a friend I remember I am fighting or not talking to someone so on the days of holi saare logon se baatein ho jaati thi (she laughs). So innocent, fun memories I have of holi from my school days.

Monaz Mevawalla : I don't have the best Holi memories actually. In fact I have dramatic holi memories where people have behaved like Junglee. But I think my best Holi memories were from school where we used to get all organic colours. At that time it was not like today's organic organic colours but we used to play with gulal and pichkari. It was compulsory to play with colours and waters and not to use any other substance. In college days I had funny incidents where obviously you want to play Holi while protecting your hair, skin etc so you apply oil because colour damages your skin and hair. So once my friends broke some eggs on my head. So instead of getting my hair damaged because of oil and egg, my hair became more silky. What I most like about Holi is your friends come to you and request to put colours on you, share some good time which increases love and strong bonds and you feel people want you, they love and care for you.
