As a fitness enthusiast , she recently shared her passion for fitness in an exclusive interview with ETimes TV, mentioning that fitness has been a part of her life since childhood.

Recalling her childhood days, Shruti says, "Fitness has been my lifestyle ever since I was a child. My father was an athlete and my sister was a zonal level athlete. I was into sports myself. So all my life this is the only way of lifestyle I have ever known. Back during school time the gym culture was never there. I joined a gym when I came to Mumbai. Prior to that it was always about some form of sport as an exercise. In the 2000s when I started going to the gym I loved my afternoon runs even if it's at noon. I don't really care if every time I feel like getting some me time cooking and going out on a run is what I do. My trainer Mr Thomas is my guruji and I am blessed to have him and as an actor it's imperative we follow this lifestyle.

The actress further opened up about how she manages her fitness routine while she shoots for a daily soap, she says, "I wind up work and make sure I work out. I usually wrap up at the same time everyday so my fitness Guruji Thomas sir adjusts my timing accordingly. Otherwise I go for a run late at night or early morning before the shoot begins. I make sure this is in place at all times irrespective of my shooting schedule."

Talking about Mumbai heat , "The heat in Mumbai these days at times ruffles me up a little but that does not stop my runs, I go for my runs either in the morning or nights these days and I still feel the heat pangs as much I stay hydrated and that's the only way you can really beat it else being in the city there is no way out...Eat a lot of fruits and drink coconut water it helps you stay cool...I think after a really long time we are facing such heat in the city kahin raahat nahin hai..."
