Speculation around Diljit Dosanjh ’s future in Bollywood has been a hot topic of late, even as he continues to work on Border 2 . A few days ago, the actor-singer shared a behind-the-scenes video from the film’s set, effectively ending rumours about his replacement. However, questions remain about whether producers will continue to back him in future projects.

The controversy stems from the casting of Pakistani actress Hania Amir in Diljit’s Punjabi film Sardar Ji 3 , which released overseas but not in India. In response, the Federation of Western India Cine Employees ( FWICE ) called for a ban on Dosanjh and his upcoming releases. Following Diljit’s social media post from the Border 2 set, several reports claimed that FWICE had lifted the ban after producer Bhushan Kumar requested reconsideration, citing that over 50 per cent of the film had already been completed, and a re-cast would cause major financial losses. While FWICE allowed Border 2 to proceed, it maintained that non-cooperation with the actor would continue for future projects.

Some reports went a step further, suggesting that Bhushan Kumar had assured FWICE that T-Series would not work with Diljit after Border 2. However, a source close to T-Series has now refuted these claims. “These reports are completely baseless,” the source told Mumbai Mirror. “T-Series has always shared a strong and respectful working relationship with Diljit and looks forward to collaborating with him on future projects.”
