Naga Chaitanya starrer 'Thandel' set for a Christmas release

Naga Chaitanya is currently immersed in the filming of his upcoming project, ' Thandel ', directed by Chandoo Mondeti . As the production nears completion, anticipation mounts for the movie's much-awaited release.

Although an official announcement from the makers is pending, reports circulating from 123telugu suggest that 'Thandel' is slated to hit the screens around Christmas, with a potential release date of December 20.

Starring alongside Naga Chaitanya is the talented Sai Pallavi , portraying a pivotal role in the film. 'Thandel' revolves around the lives of fishermen , particularly focusing on Naga Chaitanya's character, who finds himself detained in a Pakistani jail after drifting into unfamiliar waters.

In a recent interview with Zig Wheels, Naga Chaitanya shared insights into the inspiration behind 'Thandel'. He revealed that the film draws from real-life incidents that unfolded in Srikakulam back in 2018 when fishermen from the region accidentally strayed into Pakistani territory and were apprehended.

Describing 'Thandel' as a significant project, Naga Chaitanya expressed his excitement about portraying a character unlike any he has portrayed before. He emphasised the film's unique tone and plot, highlighting how it is rooted in actual events.

Naga Chaitanya also sheds light on the romance plot in 'Thandel', noting that it, too, is based on the experiences of the fishermen whose lives inspired the story.

Additionally, recently it was also announced that Nithiin's upcoming film 'Robinhood' will be released on December 20th, with the report of 'Thandel' being released near Christmas leading to a clash between these two films having the same release date.
