Nikhita Gandhi at Ramjas College: Energy at college fests is incomparable

After hours of wait, some drama and tight security, Ramjas College students got to enjoy a musical evening with singer Nikhita Gandhi on the last day of Mosaic , the college’s annual cultural fest . Keeping the artiste’s security in mind, the college had barricaded off the space right in front of the stage, to keep the crowd at a slight distance from Nikhita .
Starting her performance with Raabta, Nikhita asked the students, “Aap log itni dur kyun ho? Inko saamne bula lo.”

The singer, who performed hits like Tu Jhoom, Iktara, Mast Magan and Kabira, engaged in some banter and said, “I am not going to ask how’s the josh, but how the heat? How’s the garmi? Zor zor se dance karo ki barish ho jaye – par show ke baad!”

‘I love the excitement at college gigs’
Talking about her performance, Nikhita told us, “I had a great time at Ramjas College. I knew it was going to be amazing. It is DU, it is a really good college and even though people were really far away because of the security, it was still pretty amazing. I think every artiste would agree that we all look forward to college fests the most because the energy is incomparable.” Nikhita added, “You can do 10 really slow, sad songs and people are still going to shout and scream with you. That’s what I love, that shared love, music and energy, which you don’t find anywhere else.”
