Popular Malayalam singer Rimi Tomy recently took fans down memory lane with a nostalgic Instagram post featuring a newspaper clipping from her school days.
The clipping, which misprinted her name as “Rimi Toli,” became the centerpiece of her heartfelt recollection of her participation in the Kottayam district school arts festival during 10th grade.

Quoting the caption she shared alongside the image, Rimi wrote, ഒരു പാവം പാലക്കാരി കൊച്ചാണെ റിമി ടോലി അല്ല റിമി ടോമി കോട്ടയം ജില്ല സ്കൂൾ കലോത്സവം ,10 th class ആദ്യത്തെ മ്യൂസിക് ടീച്ചേർസ് M N Salim sir n George sir അന്നൊക്കെ ഒരു pic പേപ്പർ il ഒക്കെ വരണത് എനിക്ക് ഒക്കെ ഒരു അവാർഡ് കിട്ടണ സന്തോഷം ആരുന്നു ,അത്കൊണ്ട് ഇ ചിത്രം എന്നും സ്പെഷ്യൽ (A poor girl from Pala… not Rimi Toli, Rimi Tomy.
