Prithviraj Sukumaran reveals reason for turning down role in Chiranjeevi starrer 'Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy'

In a promotional event for ' Aadujeevitham ', the actor-director Prithviraj Sukumaran reminisced about an amusing encounter with Chiranjeevi , revealing why he declined a role in the 2019 epic historical action film ' Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy .'

Prithviraj recalled that Chiranjeevi had extended an offer for a role in 'Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy' several years ago.
However, despite feeling flattered, Prithviraj had to decline the opportunity as he was committed to his role in 'Aadujeevitham' and had grown his beard for the character.

Interestingly, in the year 2019, when Chiranjeevi visited Kerala for the promotions of 'Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy', the Telugu superstar, after acquiring the rights for 'Lucifer', had asked Prithviraj to direct the remake. Unfortunately, Prithviraj had to again decline the offer due to his ongoing commitment to 'Aadujeevitham.'

Despite initial surprise from Chiranjeevi's team, Prithviraj clarified the situation, explaining the prolonged production of 'Aadujeevitham,' which extended for more than a decade.

Prithviraj also praised Ram Charan , mentioning their occasional conversations with the 'RRR' actor.

Hitting the big screens on March 28, 'Aadujeevitham,' also known as 'The Goat Life,' is a survival thriller directed by Blessy, based on the novel of the same name by Benyamin. The film, inspired by a real-life incident from the early 1990s, is undoubtedly one of the highly anticipated projects in the Malayalam film industry.
