Priyanka Chopra reviews 'Laapataa Ladies', calls it a 'gem', asks Kiran Rao to make more movies!

Kiran Rao 's 'Lapataa Ladies' released in theatres on March 1. The film slowly started gaining popularity through word of mouth and hence managed to garner good numbers eventually. It has now released on OTT a few days ago and the internet is filled with praises for the movie. Apart from the audience, many industry celebs have also showered praise on the movie.

Priyanka Chopra has now watched the film and lauded Kiran Rao for it. She took to her Instagram stories and wrote, "Thank you for the entertainment and education @raodyness! Congratulations on this gem and make more movies!"

Kiran thanked Priyanka with folded hands and heart emojis.

Earlier, Sunny Deol, Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt had also praised the film, along with director Hansal Mehta. Varun praised the movie and he wrote, "JUST LOVED LAAPATAA LADIES @raodyness.” He further commended the cast of the film, saying, “So well performed by each and every cast member loved everything about it @aafilms.official.”

Meanwhile, Mehta said, "Saw the very big hearted and moving 'Laapataa Ladies'. Sometimes all that is needed is simplicity and clarity. This film is that. I went in expecting more and finished with more than it apparently delivers."

'Lapataa Ladies' revolves around two brides who get lost in the same train. The film is about their mistaken identities but subtly aims at bringing about a message about how women sometimes lose their ownselves and identity once they get married. The film offers a strong message with a lot of heartwarming moments.
