Tricity of Chandigarh gets pet ambulances dedicated to rescuing animals in distress
To aide the animals in distress and in need of emergency medical attention, city based animal lover Rickey Dharmani who has devoted over two decades to animal rescue and care, has launched two pet ambulances under his foundation. The Bhau Project which is a charitable trust, launched these ambulances for the Chandigarh Tricity in an event inaugurated at Panchkula by Rekha Sharma, Member of Parliament, Rajya Sabha.
"The ambulances are equipped to handle emergency medical care and transportation for small animals in distress, ensuring timely intervention and support for injured or sick strays and pets, " said Rickey, adding, "This marks a major milestone in our project’s mission to build a more compassionate and responsive ecosystem for animal welfare ."
He added, “Every life matters, human or animal. These ambulances will serve as a lifeline for animals in urgent need, and we hope to inspire more such humane efforts across the country."
Appreciating the initiative, Rekha Sharma said, "This initiative is a shining example of how compassion, when backed by action, can create real change. I am proud to be part of this launch and will remain closely associated with such a noble cause.”
In a region struggling with appropriate action towards animal care, these ambulances are the need of the hour. "We hope to set a new standard for urban animal care and encourage more public-private partnerships in the welfare space and invite citizens, institutions, and local bodies to come together in building a more humane future for all living beings," said Rickey.
