'Vaadivaasal' with Suriya is on! Vetri Maaran confirms once again

Vaadivaasal ' has been one of the most anticipated projects, marking the first collaboration between Suriya and director Vetrimaaran. Although officially launched two years ago, Vetri Maaran 's directorial faced delays, sparking rumors of the project being shelved. Despite no official confirmation from the makers or team members, speculation continues to swirl online.

In a recent YouTube interview with Behindwoods, Vetri Maaran addressed queries about 'Vaadivaasal' once again, confirming that the project with Suriya is indeed ongoing. Pre-production work is well underway, and once production commences, it is expected to progress swiftly.

Additionally, Vetri Maaran discussed ' Vada Chennai 2 ', indicating that he currently has no immediate plans to begin production on the Dhanush-starrer.

'Vaadivaasal' shooting is scheduled to begin once Vetri Maaran wraps up work on his current film, ' Viduthalai 2 '. The sequel to the 2023 release faced delays due to extended production schedules, with significant investments made in this highly anticipated follow-up. Adapted from the novel 'Thunaivan' by Jeyamohan, 'Viduthalai' features Soori, Vijay Sethupathi , and Bhavani Sre in lead roles, with music composed by Ilaiyaraaja.

'Viduthalai Part 1', released in March 2023, was a box office success, raising expectations for the sequel. While the first part introduced characters and the storyline, the second part promises to delve deeper into the narrative.
