Venkat Prabhu reveals reasons to shoot Vijay's GOAT in Moscow

The team of Thalapathy Vijay 's much awaited film ' The Greatest of All Time ', also known as GOAT directed by Venkat Prabhu is currently shooting in Russia. While the team had returned to India to cast his vote for the Lok Sabha Elections, director Venkat Prabhu has revealed to the Russian media, while they were shooting there, as to why he choose to shoot a part of the film in Moscow , Russia.


A video of the popular director talking to a Russian media has been going viral on the internet and interestingly, the video also provides a glimpse of the action-packed filming process, featuring a thrilling chase scene involving numerous bike-borne individuals.

In a clip shared by a Russian media outlet, Venkat Prabhu shares how Moscow, the Capital city of Russia, shapes the story and revealed that Moscow plays a significant role in the film's story as Vijay's character undergoes a major turn of events where he realises a lot of stuff and things that happen in Moscow.

He also revealed that the reason behind for him to choose Moscow for the film's shooting was to offer audiences a fresh visual experience as it was uncommon in South Indian cinema. Venkat Prabhu also touched upon the cultural ties between India and Russia expressing optimism about future collaborations in education, cultural exchanges, entertainment and various other fields.

The film is gearing up to hit the screens on September 5, 2024 ahead of Vinayagar Chaturthi. The star cast of the film includes actress Meenaakshi Chaudhary playing the female lead with Prashanth, Prabhudeva, Mohan, Jayaram, Ajmal Amir, Sneha, Laila, Yogi Babu and VTV Ganesh in important roles.
