When Rashmika Mandanna publicly apologised for calling KGF star Yash a 'Show Off'

Rashmika Mandanna is undoubtedly one of the leading actresses in the South now. Her recent Bollywood film ‘Animal’ with Ranbir Kapoor was a box office hit. She is now gearing up for the release of ‘Pushpa: The Rule’ with Allu Arjun. The actress often finds herself embroiled in controversies, including her deepfake video, broken engagement with actor Rakshit Shetty , and a rumored relationship with Vijay Deverakonda .
Rashmika’s old statement about actor Yash is one such incident.

In 2017, the actress got herself into controversy after her remarks about the ‘KGF’ star. In a rapid-fire session, she had taken Yash's name for answering ‘Mr. Show Off’ in the Kannada industry. Soon, Yash fans labeled and trolled Rashmika as egoistic and arrogant.

As soon as fans started criticizing her for being blind to her stardom, she took to her social media account and dropped an apology note. Her social media post reads, “I have no disrespect towards Yash sir or anyone. In fact, on several occasions, I am inspired by Yash sir, his talent, and how he is himself… sadly, the media has overlooked that I mentioned ‘Santhu Straight Forward’ as the film, which I enjoyed the most. When you edit and spin just two lines from the most non-serious part of the show, then the whole essence is lost… it’s really sad.”

On the work front, Rashmika is currently busy shooting for ‘Kubera’ starring Dhanush. She will also share the screen with Dheekshith Shetty in ‘The Girlfriend’.
