Chup Box Office Collection Day 3: Dulquer Salmaan's film earns Rs 2.25 crore
R Balki’s psychological thriller ‘Chup’, starring Dulquer Salmaan, Pooja Bhatt, Sunny Deol and Shreya Dhanwanthary, has earned Rs 2.25 crore on Sunday, the third day of its release.
On the first day of its release, 'Chup' raked in Rs 3.06 crore. The total collection of the film has now reached Rs 7.38 crore.
Going by the positive word of mouth, the figures may see a rise this week.
While Balki is also known for its cinematic marvels like ‘Cheeni Kum’, ‘Paa’ and ‘Padman’ among others, his latest film ‘Chup’ has been receiving overwhelming response, as the audience, industry and critics can’t stop raving about his latest edge of the seat thriller.
The unique promotional strategy of organising a special freeview for the audience three days before the film’s release in India, also worked in the film’s favour, thereby generating positive buzz and huge anticipation.
‘Chup’ is directed by R Balki and produced by Rakesh Jhunjhunwala, Anil Naidu, Dr Jayantilal Gada (PEN Studios) and Gauri Shinde. The original story is by R Balki, screenplay and dialogues are co-written by R Balki, critic-turned-writer Raja Sen and Rishi Virmani.
