DC vs GT, IPL 2024: Fans Witness Another Run-Fest As Rishabh Pant, Rasikh Dar Star In Delhi's Final-Over Win

Final Result:

The Indian Premier League 2024 witnessed yet another high-scoring encounter in the national capital on Wednesday night but fortunately for the home fans, Delhi Capitals came out on top after a nervy final over against Gujarat Titans in Match 40 played at the Arun Jaitley Stadium.

GT made a valiant attempt at making history in Delhi but fell short in the end by just 4 runs as DC defended 224 on a flat pitch and small ground.

DC bowlers, led by the wily Kuldeep Yadav, stopped GT's march at 220 for 8 with Mukesh Kumar defending 19 runs in the final over.

Kuldeep bagged the crucial wickets of Wriddhiman Saha and Rahul Tewatia but was upstaged by the young Rasikh, who bagged three of the biggest scalps to win the match for Delhi.

Rasikh finished with 3 for 44 while Mukesh got the all-important wicket of the dangerous David Miller (55) before stopping Rashid Khan's (21*) assault in the final over.

Pitch Report:

"The pitch in the last game was completely different to what's been the case here. The grass seems to be patchy, there has been dry grass and it has been rolled, but there are some bare areas as well. It could be two paced with the spinners getting a bit of help in the first innings, but this pitch looks very good, very well rolled and should play nicely," reckon Deep Dasgupta and Natalie Germanos, in their pitch report
