Apple's mixed reality headset may let users to create AR apps via Siri

Apple is reportedly planning to let potential buyers of its forthcoming mixed reality headsets go full creative mode. As mentioned in a report by The Information, the iPhone-maker may allow users to create AR apps by using Apple’s smart voice assistant, Siri.

According to the source, the tech giant is working on tools that enable even regular, non-tech savvy people to build apps.
Not just that, Apple also hopes to allow those apps to roll out for its highly speculated mixed reality headset, Reality Pro.

Users may be able to build AR apps using a platform akin to Roblox and Minecraft
The report also highlights that Apple may take a page out of Roblox’s book for app creation features. For those who don’t know, Roblox is a platform that provides easy-to-use building blocks for non-programmers to build games. The Tim Cook-led company could try to emulate similar accessibility for AR app creation.

Going by the report, Apple could make it even easier for users to create AR apps by making the creation suite voice-enabled. If that comes to pass, users would be able to simply use Siri for building such apps. Once an app has been created, the user could publish it on the App Store for others to try out.

These types of AR apps may roll out for the mixed reality headset
As for the kind of apps that could debut on the device, the source noted, “The tool, for example, could allow users to build an app with virtual animals moving around a room and over or around real-life objects without the need to design the animal from scratch, program its animations and calculate its movement in a 3D space with obstacles.”

Furthermore, the report revealed, “People familiar with Apple's content strategy for the headset say Apple executives are emphasizing health and wellness including proposals for AR apps that assist with meditation and exercise. One early AR demo allowed users to sit inside a Zen garden, the four people said.”
