How to use multiple bank accounts in Google Pay

Google Pay is one of the most popular modes of making payments these days. The digital wallet can be used to pay in stores, make online purchases and to send money to friends and family. Users need to simply link their bank accounts to the app to start transacting via UPI. However, for those of you who have more than one bank account, Google gives you the option to link multiple bank accounts to Google Pay.

Follow our step-by-step guide on how to add an additional account to the m-wallet. It’s the same way how you add a brand new account. However, you can switch between them easily.

steps Open Google Pay app and tap on more icon at the top-right corner (this is the three-line icon) Tap on settings and go to ‘Payments methods’. In the ‘Payment methods’, tap on add bank account. Now, choose your bank’s name from the list and add details like last six digits of bank card number and its expiry date. Now, let the app verify your details with the bank. After this, select ‘Create UPI PIN’. Verify the number linked with your bank by using the SMS code from the bank. Add new UPI PIN and confirm.
UPI PIN is a unique number that authorizes your payments/purchases via Google Pay.

Note: Users can also choose a primary bank account from multiple accounts added in the Google Pay app. Setting an account as ‘primary account’ will make it the default bank account to make and receive payments. To do so, one needs to follow these steps:
