Reliance Jio revises ISD and IR prepaid plans: Here are all the changes

NEW DELHI: Reliance Industries-owned Reliance Jio has revised its prepaid recharge vouchers for international subscriber calling (ISD) and international roaming (IR). The revision reduces benefits offered with the plans. The service provider has revised the ISD recharge pack of Rs 501 and the IR packs of Rs 1,101 and Rs 1,201.


Listed on the company’s website the Rs 501 ISD prepaid pack now comes with the validity of 28 days and it offers the talktime of Rs 424.58. Earlier, the plan offered talktime of Rs 551 in the same pack.

Apart from the ISD pack of Rs 501, the service provider has also reduced the talktime benefits of its IR recharge packs. Earlier, Jio used to offer talktime of Rs 1211 under Rs 1101 recharge pack. Post the revision, the talktime has come down to Rs 933.05. On the other hand, Jio subscribers get Rs 1,321 talktime under the IR pack of Rs 1,201, and now it is Rs 1,017.80.

The ISD pack of Rs 501 is designed to make international calls to 230 countries while the IR pack is designed for users visiting 170 countries. Apart from the above-mentioned plans the telecom operator has not revised any other plans.

Recently, Reliance Jio discontinued two of its cheapest plans for JioPhone users. The telco discontinued the recharge plans of Rs 69 and Rs 49. Under Rs 69 plan Jio Phone users used to get 7GB data, 25 free SMS and validity of 14 days. On the other hand, the Rs 49 plan offers 2GB data and 25 free SMS for a period of 14 days.
