Notebook Trailer Review: Fresh faces Pranutan Bahl, Zaheer Iqbal look apt as lovers bound by destiny

Salman Khan under his home production banner SKF, is introducing two fresh faces to the industry. Pranutan Bahl and Zaheer Iqbal, who are playing the leads in this romantic drama Notebook are debuting in Bollywood. While Pranutan is the granddaughter of veteran actress Nutan, newbie actor Zaheer Iqbal is not related to anyone in Bollywood.

He is Salman Khan’s childhood friend’s son. Talking about Notebook trailer, the film is about two star-crossed lovers who have never met each other, yet love each other by the means of a notebook. They are stationed in a sparsely-populated town of Kashmir, but they never met each other.

Kabir (Zaheer Iqbal) is posted in a small school after Firdaus (Pranutan) quits her job as a teacher. She maintains a diary which is left behind by her at the school premises. Kabir falls in love with her personality by reading her personal anecdotes from her diary.

Going by the trailer, Notebook is a story of sacred love which is not bound by the worldly attributes like age, looks and financial status. It reminds us a bit of Sanjay Kapoor starrer Sirf Tum, in which a couple falls in love while exchanging letters.

Notebook, directed by Nitin Kakkar, is slated to release on March 29.
