# Giant Elephant:
It is written in the Sundar Kand chapter of Ramayana that a giant elephant used to guard Lanka. Whom Hanuman ji had destroyed with one of his blows. The Archaeological Department has found the remains of such elephants in Sri Lanka, whose size is much more than the current elephants.

# Ravana's palace:
The Archaeological Department has found a palace in Sri Lanka that is said to be of the Ramayana period. Ramayana describes the burning of Lanka when Hanuman ji set the entire Lanka on fire with his tail. Vibhishana was made the king of Lanka after Rama killed Ravana. Vibhishan had built his palace in Kalaniya. It was situated on the banks of the Kailani River. The Archaeological Department has found the remains of that palace on the banks of the river.

# Pushpak Airport:


In Sinhala city, there is a place called Vergantota, which means 'plane landing place'. It is said that this is the place where Pushpak Vimana of Ravana used to land.

# Ashok Vatika:
Ashok Vatika is the place where Ravana kept Mother Sita. Today this place is known as Seta Eliya, which is located near Nuwara Eliya. Here today there is a temple of Sita and there is also a waterfall nearby. It is said that Goddess Sita used to bathe here. The footprints of Hanuman ji are also found on the rocks around this waterfall.

# Snake's head cave:
When Ravana reached Sri Lanka after abducting Mother Sita, he first kept Sita ji at this place. The head of this cave is spread like a cobra snake. The carvings around the cave are proof of this.

# Hanuman Garhi:
The place where Hanuman ji used to wait for Lord Rama came to be known as Hanuman Garhi. This place is mentioned in Ramayana. Today there is a Hanuman temple at this place near Ayodhya which is famous as Hanuman Garhi.

# Ram Setu:
Ram Setu is the proof of the existence of Ramayana and Lord Shri Ram. It is written in Ramayana about this bridge built over the sea to Sri Lanka. This has also been discovered. This bridge is made of stones that float in water.
