NEON has a reputation for excelling in low-to-mid-budget productions and has a track record of delivering outstanding results. The studio has released acclaimed films like the Academy Award-winning “Parasite” (2019), “Triangle of Sadness” (2021), and the 2024 Best Original Screenplay winner, “Anatomy of a Fall.” Before “Immaculate,” Michael Mann’s “Ferrari” held the record for Neon’s highest-grossing opening weekend, bringing in over

$3.9 million during its Christmas 2023 release. On the other hand Sydney Sweeney‘s horror film “Immaculate,” grossed over $5 million on its opening day and set a new record for Neon as its highest-grossing opening day ever.

BoxOfficeReport states that Immaculate brought in approximately $5.36 million in its domestic opening from 2,354 theaters. It landed in fourth place on the box office charts, following behind Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire ($45.2 million

) and the ongoing triumph of Dune: Part 2, which has crossed $240 million domestically.

Immaculate received mixed reviews, scoring 73% positive on Rotten Tomatoes with an average rating of 6.4/10. Directed by Michael Mohan and written by Andrew Lobel, it features Sydney Sweeney, Álvaro Morte, Benedetta Porcaroli, Dora Romano, Giorgio Colangeli, and Simona Tabasco.
